Samsung Integrates Digital Camera and CE Business
삼성은 디지털 카메라와 CE 사업부를 통합한다.

Samsung announced today that it plans to integrate two arms of its business in March of 2008. The integration will be of Samsungs digital camera and consumer electronics business. According to Samsung the consolidation of the two units will add new competitive advantages.
삼성은 2008년 3월에 2개의 비지니스 사업부를 통합하겠다는 계획을 발표했다. 이 통합의 대상은 디지털 카메라와 가전 사업부가 될 것이다. 삼성에 따르면 두 사업부의 통합은 새로운 경쟁력 이점을 가져올 것이다.

"Bringing the digital still camera business into the fold of our broader consumer electronics operations is the next logical step in the evolution of our digital imaging business," said Tim Baxter, executive vice president of sales and marketing at Samsung Electronics America. "Both groups bring inherent strengths and relationships to the table that will allow us to elevate our presence and offer a more comprehensive suite of digital lifestyle solutions to retailers and consumers."
삼성 아메리카의 판매 및 영업 부회장인 팀 벡스터는 "디지털 사업부를 가전 영업에 포함시키는 것은 우리의 디지털 이미지 사업에 있어서 다음 단계의 발전이라고 할 수 있다. 두 그룹은 우리의 현재를 향상시킬 수 있는 고유의 강점과 연관성을 가지고 있으며 소매상과 소비자에게는 좀 더 포괄적인 디지털 라이프 스타일 솔루션을 제공할 것이다.

Samsung has high goals in the digital imaging world and has stated it plans to be number three in the global imaging business by 2010. Samsung hopes the integration of the two units will allow its digital camera arm to leverage existing contacts its electronics arm has.
삼성은 디지털 이미지 세계에서 높은 목표를 가지고 있고 2010년까지 글로벌 이미지 사업에 있어서 시장 점유율 3위에 들겠다는 계획을 발표한 바 있다. 삼성은 두 부서의 통합은 디지털 사업부가 가전 사업부가 가지고 있는 영업력의 도움을 받게 될 것이다.
