출처 사이트 에서는 Sony Alpha A7과 28-70mm 렌즈 킷이 $1,998.00, 그리고 Sony Alpha A7 Body Only를 $1,698.00 가격으로 게재 중이다.

소니 스타일 답게 그립부와 뷰파인더를 강조하고 있으며, 상단을 보면 모드 다이얼, 그리고 노출 다이얼과 별도의 커맨드 다이얼이 있다. 또한, 뒤쪽에도 또 하나의 커맨드 다이얼과 휠 다이얼 등이 있어 조작성에도 신경을 쓴 모습. 기존의 NEX 카메라 보다는 인터페이스가 더 편할 듯. 동영상 버튼이 다소 애매한 위치에 있는데, 그립부에 Wi-Fi 마크와 칩 표시가 있는 것을 보면 Wi-Fi 전송도 다양한 기능을 지원할 듯. 손바닥에 올려 놓은 사진 역시 35mm 풀사이즈 이면서 컴팩트 함을 어필하고 있다.
