Gizmondo는 국내에는 잘 알려져 있지 않지만, PDA에서 주로 사용되는 OS인 Windows CE 를 기반으로 하고 있다는 점 때문에 유럽쪽에서는 적지 않은 유저들을 가지고 있다.

내년 상반기에 출시될 예정인 새로운 Gizmondo는 4인치 와이드 스크린 (480 x 272)과 GSM/GPRS, GPS, 블루투스 등 강력한 성능으로 무장하고 나올 예정인데, 다소 유아틱하게 느껴졌던 기존 제품에 비해 디자인이 세련되게 바뀌었다.

최소한 500MHz 이상의 프로세서를 탑재할 예정이라고 하며, 802.11b/g 내장 무선랜, GSM/GPRS, GPS, SD 카드 슬롯, TV-out 포트, Bluetooth, USB 2.0 On-The-Go(USB 호스트), 2백만 화소 내장 카메라 등 강력한 성능을 탑재하고 등장할 예정이라고 한다.

출시 예정시기는 2006년 2/4분기.
